About

Who We Are

The Lord Is At Hand
Sound The Alarm

Maranatha Lord Cometh Ministries International is a mission-driven body founded on the conviction that Christ is coming soon. Our call is to prepare a generation rooted in the Word, fervent in prayer, and ready to stand in the day of His appearing.

From our gathering in Ibadan, we have grown as a community shaped by worship, discipleship, and the unmistakable work of the Spirit. Every service, every small group, and every act of outreach is an invitation to encounter the living God.

We hold firmly to the authority of Scripture and the transforming grace of Jesus. Our foundation is the Gospel, and our hope is the redemptive work of Christ — through His grace we are blessed, righteous, and sent into the world.

Under our leadership, Maranatha is more than a church — it is a movement. We are the watchmen on the wall, heralds of the coming King, committed to making Him known in every corner of the earth. The alarm has been sounded.

We Believe

  • That Christ is coming soon — the Church must live in readiness for His return.
  • That the Word of God is the ultimate standard for life, doctrine, and faith.
  • That salvation is by grace, through faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ.
  • That the gifts of the Spirit are at work in the believer today — through prayer, prophecy, and Spirit-led worship.
  • That believers are sent as watchmen and witnesses, called to disciple nations and sound the alarm.

Our Approach

How we live out who we are and what we believe — three movements that shape every gathering, every ministry, and every step we take.

01

Sound the Alarm

Awaken hearts to the imminence of Christ's return through unfiltered Gospel proclamation, prophetic teaching, and Spirit-filled worship.

02

Build the Bride

Equip and mature every believer through Scripture, prayer, and rooted community — readying the Church to meet her King.

03

Send the Watchmen

Commission saints into every nation, city, and sphere — bearing witness through missions, outreach, and bold service.

Meet Our Leadership

Samuel 1 Olumakinde Alawode · Bishop

“Our calling is simple: to prepare a people ready for the coming of the Lord.”

The Bishop has spent over two decades shepherding believers and equipping the Church for the day of Christ's return. From early years in evangelism on university campuses to founding Maranatha Lord Cometh Ministries International in Ibadan, his life has been marked by one conviction: the Bridegroom is at the door, and the Church must be ready.

Anchored deeply in Scripture and tempered by years of pastoral practice, his teaching is direct, prophetic, and pastoral — calling believers into bold faith, costly obedience, and intimacy with the Holy Spirit.

Our Ministry Arms
