Maranatha Lord Cometh Ministries International is a mission-driven body founded on the conviction that Christ is coming soon. Our call is to prepare a generation rooted in the Word, fervent in prayer, and ready to stand in the day of His appearing.
From our gathering in Ibadan, we have grown as a community shaped by worship, discipleship, and the unmistakable work of the Spirit. Every service, every small group, and every act of outreach is an invitation to encounter the living God.
We hold firmly to the authority of Scripture and the transforming grace of Jesus. Our foundation is the Gospel, and our hope is the redemptive work of Christ — through His grace we are blessed, righteous, and sent into the world.
Under our leadership, Maranatha is more than a church — it is a movement. We are the watchmen on the wall, heralds of the coming King, committed to making Him known in every corner of the earth. The alarm has been sounded.
We Believe

Meet Our Leadership
Samuel 1 Olumakinde Alawode · Bishop
“Our calling is simple: to prepare a people ready for the coming of the Lord.”
Bishop Samuel 1 Olumakinde Alawode was saved in 1983 after seeking the Lord since 1981. A graduate of the University of Ilorin, he answered the call into full-time ministry in 1994, founding Maranatha Lord Cometh Ministries International from the sitting room of a friend at Iwo Road, Ibadan. Three decades on, what began in that small room now has a presence in many nations of the world.
A Pastor, Teacher, and Evangelist with a distinct prophetic anointing, he is called by God as a watchman — to sound the alarm and equip the Bride gloriously for Christ's imminent coming, with emphasis on presenting the full, balanced Gospel for the reawakening and restoration of the Church.

Network Assemblies
Our city branches — local congregations planted in urban centres, registered across Nigeria, South Africa, the United Kingdom, Kenya, Canada, Liberia, Ghana, and the United States.
Missions
Rural cross-cultural mission work among the Barubas and Gando Fulanis in Baruten Local Government Area of Kwara State and Benin Republic. Our village gatherings are called Mission Assemblies — currently four in Nigeria and two in Benin Republic.
Bible School
The Maranatha Interdenominational College of Ministries (MICOM) — three structured tiers: a General Ministerial Training Course (GMTC), an Advanced Ministerial Training Course (AMTC), and a Specialised Ministerial Training Course (SMTC) for Pastors, Evangelists, Teachers, and Prophets — plus short mobile courses on leadership and ministry.
Crusades
City-wide crusades and open-air Gospel campaigns — held across cities in Nigeria and Benin Republic, proclaiming Christ boldly and calling hearts to repentance and life.
Outreaches
Medical, school, philanthropic, prison, and sports outreaches — including the popular Manifestation Summits held in many cities in Nigeria and abroad.
Media
Internet radio, internet television, and music recording — taking the Gospel to every screen and every signal.
Support
Lord Cometh Academy (Nursery & Primary) and Lord Cometh Heights (Secondary), run under the motto Regenerating a Degenerating Generation across two campuses at Iwo Road and Lagun. We are now building City of Rest — a proposed 100-acre multipurpose campsite that will include a hospital, schools, conference centre, residential estate, industries, and rest park.
